Crying since '01...

Okay, so maybe it's not that bad when compared to many other hockey fans. Yep, I'm the local Avs fan of Everything Hockey, though I live in Calgary, which always surprises people. "What's a born and raised Calgarian doing cheering for the Avalanche?" Well the answer is, I don't know. I've followed and cheered for the Avs ever since they moved to Colorado, and two Cups and many competitive years later, I've never looked back. You would think that cheering for your hometown team with all your friends would be a lot of fun, but in my experience it's even more fun to laugh at them when your team beats theirs in a pivotal late-season game (and vice versa, as I was able to fully experience last season). Besides, who can possibly argue with my being a fan of one of the greatest players and captains of all time? Not to mention having had the one true Howler of the NHL (Our Howler assaulted a fan, what did that lame Phoenix one do?)
